Dogs Are Social Animals

Dogs, by nature, are highly social animals.  They thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally when they get regular play with other dogs.  They maintain a good level of socialization and build their confidence as they are exposed to other well-socialized dogs.  As part of our Daycare experience, we help direct appropriate low-intensity play, walking, foraging, manners training, and reward based conditioning.

Dogs are assigned a group based on age, temperament, play-style, and stamina.  These groups frequently change to ensure all our daycare dogs know each other and to continue challenging their socialization levels.

The most important window for socialization is between 8-16 weeks old. We accept puppies as early as 8 weeks old, once they have received all their vaccinations and been cleared by their vet to be around other dogs.  Puppies are kept in a structure of alternating play and rest.   Crate training and potty training are included within this program.
